Total Bliss + Complete Frustration=Amanda

Troy and I are so absolutely blessed. I recognize this and thank God for it every single day. When I pray I talk to God like He is one of my friends that I am just venting to. Usually as I am doing this I realize I sound like a crazy person. One minute I am thanking him for all the wonderfully amazing things in my life and in the next sentence I am close to tears with frustration.

For example, I am so privileged to be in dental school. It is very challenging to get accepted and I know the only reason I am here at MCG is because God gave me my abilities and paved the way for me to be here. At the same time, being in dental school is so frustrating. In undergrad I did pretty well academically because I worked hard and put in the time for my classes. This was rewarding because when I would put in effort I was positively rewarded. This is not the case so far in dental school. I have two classes that are the bane of my existence, Histology and Biochemistry. I spend a ton of hours studying for these two classes and the tests are not at all reflecting this effort. I am not talking about not making an A I am so over making an A at this point, I am in survival mode. What is even better is next semester is supposed to be even harder :)! Other then those two classes I am doing well! So again I thank God for that because in the big picture the two classes that are giving me trouble are not that important in the big picture but it is irritating when I actually want to study the other more important classes but feel like I can't because I am struggling in histo and biochem.

Alright enough of my whining about school, I know that this to shall pass! Troy and I are so fortunate in many other ways. Troy is loving his job!! He is climbing trees which gives me a slight heart attack but he loves it and that is what matters. Actually today, he is going with his foreman to the "lab". The lab is basically the training grounds for Bartlett Tree Experts and he was lucky to be asked to go. His boss and foreman are going there with several big ticket clients and Troy gets to tag along!

Apollo is doing wonderfully and growing like a weed! He is so cute that it is unhealthy for Troy and I because it is so hard to punish him. We have done a good job though so far resisting those adorably blue puppy dog eyes. He really is a good puppy and the only time we have any accidents is when Troy or I are to busy to pick up on his signal that he has to go out which is, spinning in circles :).

I never posted about labor day weekend ages ago but here are a few pictures of Apollo's first trip to the lake house. I think he LOVED it. The cutest little puppy you have ever seen in a fluorescent orange doggy life vest :)
Here is my dad and Apollo in the boatSo cute!Me and my baby!

Somehow we never got a picture of Troy and the puppy. That weekend was a little bit of adjustment for Apollo because he had never experienced such freedom to run around! He, Alley, and Jake (my cousin's Belgian Malinois) ran around and played all weekend and had a blast. He got thrown in the water to just see how he reacted to it, he was not a big fan but he survived with his life vest on. That weekend was really fun and was the last time we got out of Augusta since school has started.

Hopefully, I won't wait so long to post as I have the past couple of posts. That is all for now!

Love,
The Kossicks
