Our First Company!!

This weekend was extra special for Troy and I because Garrett and Kirby drove all the way over here to Augusta to spend the weekend with us. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful it was to have them here. I wish they could have stayed longer but work and other responsibilities had to bring them back to Calhoun today. :( Yesterday morning, Kirby and I were able to have a real good time in downtown Augusta. We enjoyed walking through the little shops and dreaming of what we hope to be able to buy one day. For example:
Yes this is paper made out of elephant poo...I love their catch phrase there at the bottom :)
Me and my Kirby girl!
We came across this really cute cafe that served tapas and coffee for dinner and they have a Tango Thursday!! They have a tango club come in every Thursday night and tango for you and you can just watch or they will gladly teach you. I foresee a very funny date night in Troy and I's future there.
We accidentally matched when we woke up that morning.
I took her down by the river walk on both the Augusta and North Augusta sides of the river. It was approximately 135 degrees out so we didn't really get out of the car and go walking but we admired the pretty river from the windows of the comfortably air conditioned seats of the Honda. The only time we did get out was to go and see the ampitheater over looking the river and we posed for another shot of ourselves here:

Yesterday afternoon we lazed around and watched movies. I, along with Kirby's company in the kitchen, was able to make several appetizers for dinner and then we had some good pizza! I love cooking but what I love even more is having friends in the kitchen with me. It was so wonderful just visiting with Kirby and Garrett that night. Although the boys were not much for socializing but enjoyed each others company while catching up on Guild Wars. :)

This morning we had a lazy morning and took our time getting ready. Then Kirby and I attempted to drive to the mall but I managed to get terribly lost in the process. We made it there and enjoyed some window shopping. Then we went out for lunch at....
Kirby really was craving some good bbq since she was in Georgia and all so we headed here for some delicious lunch!
Once again we very eerily picked the same color to wear!! lolMy one picture of the guys from this weekend. The rest of the time they were in front of their computer screens. This was the first day light they experienced in two days..just kidding!I was really really sad to see them go since both of them are leaving this state in the next week and going up north....a mere 12 hour drive for us!

We hope to see both of them soon because we love them both a ton!!
