Short but sweet

This last weekend was my first weekend in dental school and Troy and I had the privilege of having our parents, the Kossicks, come and visit us in Augusta. It was such a highlight to our week. I unfortunately had class until 5 on Friday so they were here in Augusta for a little bit with Troy. He showed them around the house and they both seemed to really like it :) Yay! I mean Gwen was a little more expressive then Kevin but we both loved their approval of the home we have built. They took us out to dinner at Boll Weevil Cafe which is this quaint little restuarant down by the river. Delicious grits!! Then we came back home and just visited for a bit then Troy and I had a little get together that the Sophomores threw for the freshmen. It was really really fun and Troy made friends!!
These are some of my wonderful classmates! Unfortunately I didn't take any other pictures...

Saturday we woke up and went to church with Gwen and Kevin here at the Augusta church. We were so proud of Kevin because he was called on unexpectedly by the pastor of the church to come and offer prayer for the teachers of the church. We were seated way in the back right hand corner and he had to walk a long ways to get up there. For those of you who don't know Kevin had heart and lung surgery only 2 months ago. So he is definitely still in the recovery stages. After church we came back to the house and had some bbq chicken pizza Troy and I made. It was pretty tasty! Then we took them over to a local park that we had only been to once before. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Such a pretty park right on the river.

Troy with Gwen on the dam built in 1830 something and still works!

Once we were done at the park we came back to the house where Troy fired up the grill and cooked up some wonderful BBQ beer chicken and we made some of our gourmet potato chips, as Troy calls them.

Our awesome parents! We love you!

Troy and I were very sad to see them go. We have realized how absolutely important our families are to us. We would rather hang out with our families more so then any other people. Not to say we don't love hanging out with our friends but family is definitely #1 for the both of us! I mean it isn't hard to want to spend time with any of our family anyways. They are all awesome!! Well I must be off to study...booo!

Love,
The Kossicks
