A Chair, Broken Pipe, and a Walk

Troy and I have survived another week of my dental school experience. I am just bracing myself for this hurricane they say is coming in a few weeks for us. It gets pretty intense in a few weeks so I am just enjoying our slightly easier schedule right now. Because of this Troy and I have had a little time to recover our dining room chairs Gwen gave us. We love how they turned out!

Before...

and After!!

Friday night we had a few friends over from my class and their husbands. We had a really good time minus Korey's (Lindsey's husband) mouth being burned by the stuffed mushrooms. :( Other then that we had a blast eating, playing games, and talking/laughing. After our guests left Troy and I went to get ready for bed and I was in the bathroom ready to brush my teeth when I heard running water and I thought that is odd considering there isn't anything on in the house. So I called the expert, aka Troy, in and asked him if he heard it to. He went around the house just to make sure no water was running and he came to the conclusion that a pipe under the house must be broken!! So we ran and shut off the main water source. Then we looked under the house and it was not pretty. There was a massive mud puddle under there. Since it was 12:30 AM we decided to not tackle that tonight. In the morning Troy got up and went under the house and spent approximately 4 hours under there fixing it. What a genious right?!?! He is so smart and handy :) Here is what he looked like after....

The hole he had to climb through

The mess he had to climb over and around to get to the pipe

Yesterday after we got all cleaned up from our little mudfest we went on a walk at a park on the Savannah River. Then we went to Olive Garden to celebrate our 3 month's of married life :) Here are a couple pictures of our walk.
How's the weather up there?

The trail we walked

Love love love

James Franco impersonation from Pineapple Express
Surfing on the river! Never seen that before!
"Everything will be ok". We needed that message...
This was an old river house that was abandoned who knows how long ago.

These last four pictures was us having fun like little kids. By the way we found honeysuckle on our walk that always brings me back to childhood. I loved that stuff. Troy, my horticulturilist husband, did not know it was edible! I was like that is why that stuff was so cool as a kid!!
Drop dead gorgeous :)

Please don't min the pooh stain on my shirt. I gained that adorable little spot while trying to set up the camera for this shot. I hate dirt.
I love this picture and this tree. The moss hanging off is soo beautiful and calming to watch it blowing in the breeze.

Well that is all for this update! As always we are loving the married life and thank everyone in our lives who is supporting us through everything.

Love,
The Kossicks
